Staff are splendid and friendly . However roast potatoes often under cooked not ruffled as they claim and as all loaded into large serving dishes the heat and steam softens them. Veg sometimes ( often ) undercooked for my personal taste especially the cauliflower . Staff throw chopped parsley over all the veg as it apparently a " cheffy " thing to do .... How many of you have parsley over a roast beef lunch or dinner ? Great for ham but not with a gravy meal . The stuffing is ALWAYS dry and needs to be soaked with gravy , however generally inedible , do not bother . I also warn in the pork crackling so hard people including myself have cracked teeth ...I know have a cap ! Avoid it . If you order off the menu instead of carvery you still have to get into the veg queue to help yourself , this is sometimes difficult end up with cold pie etc! It is good value as one can return for seconds where veg is concerned . The bottomless soft drinks also great value . Consistency of the mint sauce is hit and miss sometimes great other times " where is the mint ! " Sometimes gravy is thick other times quite liquid. Parsley sauce is nice . An addition of a hospital style wall mounted hand sanitizer unit on the restaurant side of the door leading to toilets would be an idea . It is all well and good to wash ones hands after using the facilities but what is on the door handles ???? The double door system to the gents loo is precarious , care needed .I get bashed there often . lock on the right hand cubicle not working. Antiquated loo roll dispenser . nowadays most places have a sheet by sheet dispenser not rolls in the open on the shelf behind the lavatory !!! There are wall mounted loo roll holders but having to pull off several sheets to insure clean paper is outdated. I also think that sensor rather than push flush and sensor water taps a good idea ( they have them in tescos down the road ) The establishment is however clean and maintained to an acceptable standard though touching up needed here and there and more attention required to underframe dusting . I object to having to walk through the dedicated outside seating area to get to the only customer entrance door as this is the smoking area and I hate ciggy smoke. Staff, as I have said , are wonderful , there is good parking unless surrounding offices decide to use it , conveniently placed for tesco , lidl dunelm mill etc. Normally good but when they fall down they hit the floor with a crash . I also believe that when parents allow their toddlers to run around they should be told to keep them under control as they OFTEN almost trip up customers carrying filled plates from the carvery . If a child ended up covered in gravy the parent would be the fist to mouth off and the last to apologise . It is nice for a l casual lunch or an informal , cannot be bothered to cook , evening meal but definitely not a place for a special occasion meal in my opinion

To be up front, at time of writing, my lad works here. We all used to come here before that though. The price for the Carvery includes one visit to the meat station and a good portion of turkey, beef or pork and all you can eat on vegetables, sauces and gravy. Lovely creamy potatoes and all the vegetables are steamed (for efficiency and to retain nutritional value) a selection of gravies and sauces including my favourite, cranberry sauce. There is a reasonable selection ofdesserts, refills on carbonated drinks and they do a good breakfast for about £4.99. The Carvery has a decent amount of parking. I'm pretty sure it's easily accessible by wheelchair and the wait staff are fast and friendly (but often kept very busy so you may need to be a little patient between courses or when getting the bill). A word of warning though. Don't take "all you can eat" as a challenge. It's already good value for a single plateful. Overfill on this food and you will end up sleeping on the sofa for the rest of the day, digesting.
