A little slice of Marrakesh We had just been to a play for the Melbourne Fringe and were looking for a nice place to have some dinner (and my suggestion of the Kebab van was swiftly voted down, despite the fact that I love kebabs), so instead we decided to give this place a try. Since it was a self style Moroccan restaurant (and Marrakesh seems to be this enchanting place that I will probably never get to visit) I agreed with my friends (not that I had a choice – well I did, but I wanted to have dinner with them). It was a pretty nice place, though I suspect one needs to be aware that this is not a Western restaurant, and I say this because it is not a place where you are supposed to order your own dish (a lot of non-Western restaurants are like that, you order plates to share). I had the beef dish (because it is one of my favourites) though there were not sides to go with it. It was just beef in mint sauce. Oh, and the free mint tea that they gave us as well was also really nice (though my friend didn't touch his at all).
