I have never had afghani food, but after coming here, I have been looking up afghani places closer to me like a fiend. This is for the NON-meat dishes. I am a serious carnivore, but I decided to go family style and not do meat. I am not sure if I'll ever do the meat side of the menu again! We had the pumpkin borani (light, and very fresh tasting), the bolani (came with spicy yogurt that you smear all over - it is fantastic), and the spiced cauliflower (basically, sauteed cauliflower that was pretty spicy but also felt like a "light" dish). You can vary the spiciness of the yogurt and we went for hot... I was glad we did. I have always been the "Mcdonalds" lover that hates veggies, but I'm very glad I tried the vegetarian dishes. I am particularly surprised about how over-the-moon I was with the cauliflower dish; it tasted healthy but spicy. I had initially thought the yelp score was a bit inflated and that the restaurant would be closer to a "3.5 to 4-star" restaurant in SF but it really deserves its rave reviews.
