Very dry and blan biryani. More like meat and rice not really biryani. Other stuff looked good like naan and the curries but haven't tried yet. So this review is based on the biryani experience. Don't understand why people are giving the their biryani thumbs up when it's really not even biryani.

Best chicken tikka I have had in the Bay Area! And I have been on the hunt for a good chicken tikka place for a long time. While some make it unnecessarily spicy, others make it hard and tasteless. The chicken tikka at pakwan is succulent, moist and has flavor in every bite. Combined with the chopped onion and mint chutney on the side, it makes for a terrific dish. The curries somehow pale in comparison to the chicken tikka. We have tried chicken tikka masala which lacked the flavors we are used to here. The Achari chicken had great chicken pieces, but the sauce left something to be desired, it almost felt like they had emptied a bottle of "achar" in the curry. To end on a good note, the naans make up for the suboptimal curries. Dunking a piece of soft squishy naan in a plate of curry is as close to comfort food as you can get!
