This place seems to have a good following, judging by the regular lunch crowd and I just can't put a finger on why. I understand that the food here is authentically Indonesian-Malaysian so perhaps that's the reason. They have a section for wanton mee and curry mee. And the main section — "Nasi Padang"-style fare — manned by this matronly woman who will make you pick vegetables if you have too much protein on your plate. I find most of the food here are particularly too greasy for my liking. I tried to pick the more healthy stir-fry vegetable but that had more oil than it should. My guess, the draw of this section is the "dendeng", which is a Minangkabau delicacy — beef thinly sliced, dried then fried with chillies and interestingly. This place also draws people from all walks of life; the well-heeled and the not-so-well-to-do. But honestly, I don't find the food here affordable if I have to survived on a 5-ringgit meal as the plate of rice I picked with two dishes was already more than 10 ringgit. Food - 3/5 Ambience - 2.5/5 Service - 2/5 Cost - $$$
