Me and my wife got food poisoned and severe diarrhoea....the food was cold when arrived and you can tell they reuse old and fresh meat just by the texture....it's better to across the road to lahore karahi

Now we're talking! Spice Village is the real deal, a real taste of the Subcontinent. The fact that I couldn't even get through the door during Eid tells you what the community thinks of this place. They've spruced up the decor in recent years but the focus remains the food, no alcohol is permitted. Normally for me that would be a deal-breaker but I'm prepared to go there and just drink tea. Yes, it's that good. Great food, great 'village' atmosphere (if you will), the right customers. The Achaari Chicken is phenomenal. An asset to Tooting.

Great if you fancy a late night meal on a Sunday. We got in there about 10pm. Food was a little bit too spicy hot for us. Food did taste good though. My only suggestion would be to not water down the yoghurt based dishes (raita and chaat)

These guys have upgraded the décor and layout. Bit more kitch ...but it's nice. Food the same good quality. A few dishes have too much ghee for my liking but tandooris cant be beaten.
