We were in the area, and we really enjoy the flavors of Indian cooking, so we found this little place along San Mateo Ave. We were concerned when we walked in, and we were the only diners there, but it was during the Thanksgiving weekend, so figured many of the locals may be out of town for the holidays. We had their tandoori sampler, along with chicken saag, veggie baryini rice, lamb vindooloo, and one more vegetarian dish. We were very happy we found this place because the food was very good. I cannot tell you if this is "authentic" or not because I've never been to India, but what we look for is fresh, flavorful foods, and that is what we enjoyed here. The tandoori chicken that I had was the best tandoori chicken I think I've ever had. Normally, it always seems to get very dry and not much in the way of spices. But here, these guys seem to know how to make wonderful tandoori chicken that is bursting with flavor and is juicy. This is a great little find. The ambiance is not much to look at, but the food is the most important to us, and that is where Noori excels.
