Halal Guys is really good. The combo plate is my favorite item on the menu. However, if you have had lamb, beef, or chicken over rice in New York than do not expect the same quality in regards to taste. With that said, Halal Guys in San Jose, although not exactly the same is reasonably similar. I would recommend eating here.

I really don't know where all these good reviews come from. I had the beef Gyro Sandwich. It was awful. The meat tasted like ground beef. It fell out all over the place. The sauce came in a package that tasted like flavorless ranch. The hot sauce was just that, only hot, no flavor. The pita bread was gummy. For the same price you can get a real Gyro with homemade Tzatziki sauce. My sales tag was #1087 6/21/2016 at 12:47 PM . The bill was 8.70, I paid 9.00 cash and received .30 change. I give one star cause it was grub.

Super crowded so I think that may have over run the workers a bit. All in all the food here is just as good as the stuff in NYC. Be wary of the hot sauce. But other than that worth checking out.

I am usually not a big fan of rice at Mediterranean restaurants but the rice (and, everything else) at Halal Guys is brilliant. Everything from the lettuce, rice, falafels to the SAUCES are top notch. For a busy place, their customer service is surely one of a kind. Always kind and listening to each individual need of yours. Hopefully they keep up the high standard they have set for themselves here at the Curtner Avenue location.

First time trying Halal Guys, definitely worth the wait. The food was really great (chicken&rice platter) & the staff were pretty nice. Overall a great first experience. The white sauce is delicious, and their menu is simple & easy to choose from.
