I am a sucker for Indian food and this hole in the wall place takes the cake for me in the DC area. The food is amazing (I always order the chicken tikka masala, naan, and mango chutney) and they even give you a bowl of chutney versus a spoonful like most restaurants give you. The service is impeccable and prices are reasonable. If you can get over how scary it looks on the outside (and the slightly unusual smell), it is definitely worth it!
